Léo Dupuis, 56, of Memramcook East died Tuesday at the Dr Georges Dumont Hospital after a brief illness. Born at Memramcook East, he was a son of the late Livain and Alice (Dupuis) Dupuis

He was a farmer and worked as an independent truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, the former Lorraine Léger; five sons, Norbert, of Memramcook East, Gérald, Paul, Claude and Charles Dupuis, all at home; four daughters, Mrs Paul Breau (Jeanne), Mrs. Gérard Boudreau (Germaine) and Mrs Robert LeBlanc (Odette), all of Memramcook East, and Dorinne, at home; an adopted daughter, Mrs Antoine Bourgeois (Clara) of Memramcook East; an adopted son, Camille Gaudet; three brothers, Philippe and Léonard, both of Memramcook East, and Emery Dupuis of Portsmouth, N H; two sisters, Mrs Yves LeBlanc (Emma), and Mrs Aimé Cormier (Annie), both of Memramcook East; two grandchildren, and by nieces and nephews.

The body will be at Dupuis' funeral home, Memramcook and the Mass will be celebrated at 7 p m Friday from the Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Memramcook East. Entombment will be in the St Thomas Roman Catholic Cemetery vault, St Joseph, to await burial in the Memramcook East cemetery in the spring.
